Wasabi girl's fight for life!

Update 9/19

The hardest update to give. With the heaviest heart we share that that doctors found in the X-ray a large tumor on wasabi’s lung. It’s inoperable and too big to be treated by chemotherapy We are BEYOND overwhelmed by the amount of outpouring love and support received from everyone, it will never go unnoticed. We will be pursing Alternative natural home care & spoiling her with love and food while praying for a miracle… until she lets us know she’s ready to go home. Thank you all again. You’ve allowed us the comfort and peace in receiving diagnosis. 7 years is too short. Hug your fur babies.

Hi everyone!

Everyone who knows wasabi loves her more than anything. She is the sweetest, happiest, smartest pup in the world. She is an American Bulldog and only 7 years old. We know she has many more years left in her to be apart of our family.
We love her so much.

Two weeks ago she started to not eat, and lost 15 pounds rapidly. She went from a strong 91 pounds to 76. We took her to the vet and they began to do blood work. All her vitals came back great, as well as her physical. When the blood work came back it showed that she has no Blood Platelets and her calcium levels were a 13.7 when they should be 12. When veterinary doctors see these three symptoms combined they usually conclude it to be cancer. With sabi's case however they are most concerned with with her lack of blood platelets. Currently if we were to find a tumor in her body we could not do surgery to remove it due to her body not having blood platelets she would bleed out from an incision.

As of today 9/18 Sabi girl hasn't eaten for 2 days, and barely drinks water. It's breaking our hearts to see her body break down, and her personality dim. She has another vet appointment today at 12pm, we are planning on taking more blood samples ($240), tests, get her on steroids'($50 for a month supply) (this would make her feel all around better as well as build up her blood platelets) and hopefully get her an appetite enhancer to help get any nutrition in her. If they need to do an IV for liquids/food I think they should do that as well today.

Next steps after the blood work comes back would be to get an ultrasound of her lymph nodes and organs ($552), and an X-ray of her abdomen ($550). We are just wanting to find where the cancer is coming from to hopefully get a treatment plan started whether that be Chemotherapy or an alternate route.

We do not have pet insurance and bills are quickly adding up-and I am tight on money. We want to do anything and everything to save her and let her live the rest of her life to the fullest. Seriously any amount is so appreciated. Love you all and Sabi girl does as well.

I need her to have many more years of hiking, beach days, running at Thousand Acre dog park and playing with her bestie brother Mowgli. Thank you everyone <3
