Do you want to help our societies in making a difference in a time when the world needs us the most? Warwick Hindu Society, Tamil Society, Indian Classical Dance, Punjabi Society, Bollywood Dance Society, Krishna Consciousness Society, Gaana Society, Indian Society, and India Forum have all joint forces to fundraise together in aid of NHS Charities Together and India Rapid Response and every donation will help.

The Covid-19 Urgent Appeal was launched by NHS Charities Together to acknowledge and support NHS staff, volunteers and volunteers impacted by Covid-19 across the country. The money raised is funding grants to help NHS charities support NHS staff, volunteers and patients in ways above and beyond what NHS funding can ordinarily provide, including wellbeing packs and costs associated with travel, parking, accommodation and volunteer expenses.
India: Rapid Response

This trusted charity already has the experience of more than 20 disaster relief operations under their belt. In this crisis, they have already successfully delivered over 2000 kits across 5 states in India. COVID-19 has caused more than 1,00,000 deaths worldwide. In the wake of the recent outbreak of Corona Virus in India, they have launched Corona Virus Response in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra & Andhra Pradesh.
Millions of Indians living in the rural areas are at great risk of contracting the corona virus because of lack of awareness and their poor living conditions. Due to the ongoing lockdown and stay home advisory from the government, the poor and daily wage labourers are suffering with no income and struggling to meet their daily needs.
Rapid Response is helping them with much needed Dry Ration & Hygiene Relief Supplies. The efficiency rate of your donations is high; 92% of every pound donated goes directly to suffering daily-wagers on the ground, with the balance going towards transportation costs to reach them.
All donations received will be split equally between both charities so we can make the most impact with the funds we have raised collectively.
In times like this when so many are struggling, it's important to realise that we have the privilege of staying at home with plentiful supplies whilst key workers are risking their health in order to keep us safe. We have the power to make a difference without sacrificing much so let's work together to make a difference!
