WARREN TEMPLETON MEDICAL EMERGENCY

One of our own and his family are need of our help right now. Warren Templeton, or “Tempe” as he’s known to many of us.

Warren T. has spent his life taking care of others, and now could use ours.  On July 2, 2020, while visiting family in California in San Luis Obisbo, Warren’s esophagus ruptured. He went from family vacation to the emergency room to emergency surgery in the matter of a couple of hours. Warren has spent the past couple of weeks in the Intensive Care Unit recovering. The first surgery did not fully resolve the issue and he now has to have a second surgery and has been moved to San Diego where a specialist can perform a second delicate surgery.

Warren spent more than 35 years in service of his country, serving in the United States Navy, the United States Border Patrol and a career in the Department of the Interior as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer, Paramedic and Firefighter. Warren often traveled the country in support of national firefighting efforts, national law enforcement events and national disasters and emergencies, such as hurricane relief, not to mention serving as a federal Air Marshal for the better part of a year after the attack on our country on 09/11/2001.  Warren has a heart of gold and has always been someone who put the needs of others before his own.

During this time Warren’s wife Becca has been with him as much as possible- the current Covid 19 situation does not allow for her to be by his side 24/7 but she has not left his presence this entire time.

Being out of State, away from home has simply made an exacerbated situation even worse. From dealing with out of network medical scenarios, lodging, co-pays, long distance ambulance shuttles across Southern California from one hospital to another, it is causing a financial burden that would prove more than difficult for most people, not to mention Warren is now retired and on a fixed income. It will not end with the next scheduled surgery either.  It is anticipated that he’ll have a long recovery ahead and large impending medical bills shouldn’t have to be part of his worries.

Please join us in taking care of our brother; he is also a husband, a grandpa, and a father. His family expresses sincere gratitude for your help!
