Warren and Heather's medical emergency

Hello, my name is Melanie (Heather's sister), and I am raising funds to support Warren and Heather McConnell's financial situation due to Warrens medical and other expenses as they navigate this unexpected medical journey.

On March 21st, Warren was rushed to the ER early morning and was immediately put in ICU. We almost lost him due the severity of the blood loss he had with the esophageal bleed. He was in ICU for about 4 days and then the hospital put him on a regular floor to get the rest of his numbers where they need to be due to liver complications. Heather immediately went on FMLA with her job and has been by his side 24/7. Warren was released from hospital 12 days later with continuing anemic complications that can be monitored at home through specialists.

Since then Warren has been in and out of the hospital. Has had a lot of blood work done already along with medical testing and at this point getting a paracentesis (draining of fluid in abdomen) weekly. Warren is currently on track to get on a liver transplant waiting list. Because of all this his wife Heather had to quit her job to be a caretaker to Warren.

They desperately need help with expenses and medical bills. There will be some significant medical procedures and tests coming up very soon that may not be 100% covered with insurance along with travel and meals expenses to see his specialists in Gainesville and this fundraiser is also raising funds for that as well.
