Help Bassam Aziz before it's too late; he needs you now.

My name is Bassam Aziz and I am a resident of Gaza. I live here with my wife and our five children, along with my extended family — including my mother, siblings, and children. I am reaching out with an urgent plea for help that could change our lives.

I am currently living in displacement tents and temporary shelters, where conditions are extremely challenging and unsafe, which worsens my medical condition. My leg injuries and health situation require a cleaner and safer environment to prevent further infections and serious complications.

Due to the high costs of medical care and the scarcity of resources in Gaza, the estimated amount required for proper treatment and recovery is approximately €40,000. If the Rafah crossing opens, part of this amount could be transferred to my personal account in Egypt so that I can start urgent treatment before further complications occur, as waiting lists for medical care are long and time is critical.

From the start, I want to mention my brother, I SSAM Aziz, who is currently in the Netherlands, as the trusted person coordinating our campaigns. Some of you may know him on social media. He is prepared with all necessary documents and can provide verification or answer any questions regarding our situation or this campaign.

We initially launched a family campaign through him for our entire family, but unfortunately, no donations were collected. You can view the first campaign here: https://gofund.me/45ae75199. Due to the urgent nature of my situation and the severity of my injury, I have now created this personal campaign in my name, as my health and life are at risk, along with the well-being of my wife, children, and extended family.

About My Injury

I am 38 years old, and several months ago, while going to humanitarian aid distribution points in Gaza — described by many as “death traps” — I was seriously injured by a high-caliber sniper bullet in my leg. The injury destroyed muscles and bones, leaving me unable to walk.

A local surgery in Gaza addressed the immediate damage, but complications developed, including infection, risk of gangrene, and blood poisoning, because proper treatment abroad was delayed due to long waiting lists and travel restrictions.

Currently, my leg is in critical condition and requires urgent treatment outside Gaza. The environment in displacement shelters exposes my wounds to germs and contamination, which could worsen my condition and threaten my life.

Urgent Needs

To preserve my life and prevent further complications, I urgently need:
• Safe housing in a clean environment, to reduce exposure to infection and contamination.
• Medical supplies: anticoagulants, antibiotics, sterile bandages, dressings, and medical adhesives.
• Transport funds to reach hospitals for necessary procedures and blood transfusions.
• A wheelchair for mobility.
• Financial support for food, medicines, and basic needs for my family, including my young son who suffers from anemia due to insufficient nutrition.

These needs are critical to saving my life and maintaining my ability to care for my family.

Additional Information & How You Can Help
• I will provide photos of my family, medical reports, and evidence of our current situation, so you can understand our reality.
• This campaign is fully documented and verified.
• You can contact my brother, I SSAM Aziz, directly for any questions or verification regarding our situation.

Your support can save lives and restore hope. Please share and contribute to help us overcome this crisis.
