On Monday 10/14, while in Michigan picking up a boat for transfer - Dad suffered an aneurysm, more specifically, a Subarachnoid hemorrhage.
He was taken by ambulance to the hospital and in turn needed to be taken by helicopter to a hospital with a more comprehensive neurology team here in Detroit.
On the morning of 10/15 they performed a cerebral angiogram and they were able to locate the hemorrhage/source of the bleed and coil it. As of right now he is in the very very early stages of recovery. We have no prognosis from the doctors currently. He is still heavily sedated and on a ventilator, but the medical team here seems guardedly optimistic.
I’ve created this page as a means for Leslie to continue to be by his side. All the proceeds will go directly to Leslie who’s going to be here with him through the duration. Dad is going to require lots of care and is going to be here in Detroit for at least 3-4 weeks, if not longer. I will continue to update everyone on his progress from this page.
