Warmth, Light and Work for the Kharkiv Community!
Donation protected
The Eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv is resilient, but it needs your help. In the current reality, families in Kharkiv, where I, Katerina (Katya) Rouzina volunteered from 2019-2020, are both working and going to school online, from home. Apartments are cramped, many are damaged and the coming cold season will bring many power outages, causing loss of internet, heat, and light and threatening these families' livelihood.
My former colleagues Veronika Simonova and Artyom Okun', dedicated community professionals, want to transform a room at the Beit Dan Jewish Community Center (Tobol'ska St 46, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast', Ukraine, 61072) into a space that will solve for these needs. They're planning to make this conference room into a space with 30 work stations and a steady supply of fiber internet, light and heat. The money will be used to fully furnish a co-working style space with essential needs such as desks, chairs, a coffee machine, and charging stations, as well as set up fiber internet.
Ukrainians are suffering more than ever in an effort to sustain themselves and their families under unimaginable conditions. Please, contribute anything you can to help make the community's dream a reality.
