Every winter, my dear friend Julianne faces the same challenge — keeping the animals at Texas Heartland Animal Sanctuary safe, warm, and protected. Julianne has rescued over 40 dogs, countless cats, and even donkeys and horses, all of whom came from neglect or abuse. She has never turned away an animal in need.

While every animal has shelter, heat, and care, winter brings overwhelming added costs — weather-proofing runs, heating spaces, and maintaining safe housing. The financial strain is heavy, and she cannot do this alone.
