Hi everyone, I’m starting this GoFundMe for my sister, Mya, a single mom of four who has been living without heat since March.

Maintenence has tried to repair it, however, the results of an inspection indicated that the entire unit needs replaced. Now, winter is here, and the inside of her home has dropped to 48 degrees with colder temperatures approaching.

Two of her children attend school from home bundled in coats, hats, and blankets. Some nights, after running errands and coming home from work, she spends extra time in the car with her children to stay warm for a few more minutes.

Property management have only provided one space heater for a family of five in a 5-bedroom home. She acquired additional space heaters with the help of family and friends. Unfortunately, using space heaters has caused her electric bill to jump to $700 — something she absolutely cannot afford while working two low-income jobs.

A new furnace was finally “approved,” but there’s still no date for installation, and they are enduring the bitter cold every day.

We would appreciate any assistance to help Mya cover her electric bills, hotel, travel, and lost wages. If you know my sister, then you know her heart. You know how hard-working and beautiful of a mother she is. She just wants safety for her children. Anything at all you can do to help is truly appreciated.
