Lucy Laney is a Title I elementary school in Minnesota, and every winter, many of our second graders come to recess without the proper gear to keep them warm. As the temperatures drop, it’s heartbreaking to see students shivering, complaining that they cannot feel their hands or ears. For many families, purchasing winter clothing like gloves and hats is a challenge, and the need is urgent as the cold sets in.
This fundraiser is organized by Jalynn, a Social Work Intern at Lucy Laney, who sees firsthand how much these students struggle during the winter months. With your help, we hope to raise enough money to provide gloves and hats for 70 second graders. These simple items will make a huge difference, allowing kids to enjoy recess, focus on learning, and stay healthy throughout the season.
Your support means everything to these children. By donating, you’re helping us make Minnesota winters bearable for every student, ensuring they have the warmth and comfort they deserve. Please join us in making a real impact—every gift brings us closer to our goal and helps our students thrive.
