My name is Teresa, and I live in Midcoast Maine.
Two years ago, I made the decision to retire early in order to support my family with elder care. Since then, I’ve been working two part-time jobs in between caregiving duties. More recently, I’ve taken on additional responsibilities, helping another close family member who has been in and out of the hospital for multiple surgeries, with another one still ahead and the recovery period will be lengthy, and I’m doing everything I can to be there for her and her children.
This spring, I received the news that my home’s furnace is beyond repair and must be replaced. With winter approaching and my income limited due to the demands of caregiving, I’m facing a financial challenge I can’t manage alone.
I’m reaching out to ask for your help in raising the funds needed to install a new furnace before the cold weather sets in. Any donation—no matter the amount—would mean so much to me and would go directly toward keeping my home warm and safe this winter.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing this message, is deeply appreciated.
With gratitude,
Teresa
