Every dog deserves a soft, warm place to sleep.
Right now, these dogs have none.
At Logan County Animal Shelter in Logan County, Kentucky, the dogs currently do not have beds. As colder weather approaches, many of them are sleeping directly on hard, cold surfaces. These are dogs who have already lost so much — yet they still greet every day with hope, wagging tails, and trust in the people around them.
This shelter works tirelessly with very limited resources, and something as basic as waterproof dog beds is simply not available right now. With winter coming, this isn’t just about comfort — it’s a vital need. Beds provide insulation from the cold, help keep dogs dry and clean, and are especially critical for senior dogs, sick dogs, and those who may be waiting weeks or months for a home.
Rural shelters like Logan County Animal Shelter are often overlooked. Funding is scarce. Supplies are limited. But the dogs here deserve warmth, dignity, and care just like any other.
Your donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward providing waterproof beds so these incredible dogs can rest safely and warmly through the cold months ahead. We have found some affordable waterproof beds for $30/each (40 dogs average) that are great for the shelter dogs and we can secure them for these much needed nights ahead if people like you all help us this season. ❤️ Also, if you are local and would prefer, they would be glad to accept the donation of beds directly instead of donating a monetary donation. Anything helps!
If you can’t donate, please share. Winter is coming, and these dogs are counting on us.
Thank you for being their voice when they have none. ❤️❄️
