The Bullin-Brewer’s need your HELP!!

Hello everyone!!

Most of you know me, some of you might not. My name is Angy Bullin and I am a single mom to a beautiful daughter, named Jenny and a new amazing puppy named Rose! Rose is 10 weeks old and she is a Yorkshire Terrier.

Tuesday night (1.9.24)…Rose took a leap out of Jenny’s arms and broke all four bones in her right front foot. I got emergent care for her and this is the notes from that visit:

“Dear Angy Bullin (Family of Rose), Thank you for entrusting Kansas City Animal Emergency with Rose's care this evening. She is a WONDERFUL puppy who did very well during her stay. Unfortunately, as was discussed during her consultation, radiographs show that she has broken and partially displaced all four of the long bones of her right front foot (the metacarpals) which connect her *wrist" to her toes. She received narcotic pain management and was a general anesthesia while the leg was clipped and splinted with a makeshift splint for her tiny leg. She had the leg bandaged to reduce pain and minimize movement and images were taken to confirm that it was well aligned at the time of discharge. As discussed, Rose requires much further care for her fracture and the bandage which was placed will not allow for the foot to heal, will damage her leg if left on more than a few days and is not appropriate for long-term use in a growing puppy. Rose should have a consultation with a specialist surgeon or orthopedic surgeon to discuss management options for her broken foot. As discussed, she has been prescribed a short-term supply of medication to help address pain and to help her to rest while you find a surgeon with whom you can consult about management options. An e-collar must be used at all times while Rose has her leg bandaged. She received an injection of anti-inflammatory medication and a prescription to go home (Carprofen) as well as anti-anxiety pain medication (Gabapentin) to use for the coming days while you seek further advice. Rose did very well for her appointment today and is stable at the time of discharge. Her splinted leg has toes exposed so that you can check them multiple times per day for any sign of decreased blood flow (change in warmth, color or appearance). Seek further care immediately if the bandage moves, the toes change, she seems more uncomfortable than she was before of the bandage becomes wet or soiled. Do not leave the bandage in place for more than two to three days. Seek consult for surgical options tomorrow morning.”

When I spoke with Blue Pearl OP this AM, I was advised that costs could be in the $3000-$4000 range…and she doesn’t have insurance that will cover it. I have since purchased her some insurance, so going forward, she is covered.

On top of all of this, as I was leaving the emergency vet clinic last night, my car overheated and I had to pull my vehicle over four times just to make it home. It took me an hour and a half to get home from Antioch Road in the Kansas City Northland. It appears I have either blown a head gasket or I have some type of leak in my radiator. When it rains, it pours!!

If anyone can help at all, ANY help will add up! I am a natural helper, not a asker but I need help. THANK YOU!!!
