We're Moving A Building!
Welcome!!
We're restoring this building in 2021, but first we need to move it! This building has the potential to be another treasure in southern St. Elizabeth which we will add to our site for a Living Museum in Southfield.
Your gift supports the ongoing work of our Collective of artists, teachers, architects, doctors and development practitioners who want to see Jamaica's built heritage celebrated and preserved. Our work focuses on education on traditional arts and building methods, advocacy for the preservation of Spanish Wall buildings and promoting sustainable use of natural resources in design and architecture.

Recap of our Virtual Arts & Heritage Summer Camp:
Every child looks forward to a summer holiday filled with camps and adventure. But everything was different this year. COVID-19 meant that most children in rural Jamaica had a difficult school term and very little to look forward to.
That's why the Wattle & Red Earth Collective hosted a fun, interactive, online 2-week Virtual Arts & Heritage Camp children ages 6-11. Arts and Heritage instruction is part of a well-rounded education. WARE integrates Foundational STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts/architecture and mathematics) principles to connect subjects which are often perceived as separate. The program’s activities increased collaboration among children, teachers, parents and community artisans in fun & interactive ways.
Primary school teachers were supported to skilfully incorporate folk and traditional arts and heritage to enhance overall curriculum delivery.
