Wardley Robotics qualify for World Championship in Dallas
Donation protected
Our story.....
The children at Wardley Primary School are passionate about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) with a particular emphasis on robotics. The team this year is made up of four year 5 students who travelled to Telford at the beginning of March to attend the National VEX IQ Robotics Championship and won the Elementary School Rapid Relay element of the competition after first, winning a regional competition at Newcastle University.
This has secured them a spot at the VEX IQ Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas at the beginning of May. The Team also won the judges ‘Think’ award for their amazing coding skills. This is an incredible achievement, and we are immensely proud of the children!
The children have worked tirelessly in school, after school, during their break and lunchtimes and even at home to achieve this amazing opportunity, but we need your help to get them there!
We hope to raise funds to send Team 38154C Wardley Robotics to the World Championship in Dallas to represent the United Kingdom in May. Funds raised will also be directed towards strengthening the STEM curriculum at Wardley Primary School, ensuring that future generations of students have access to valuable opportunities and resources that will equip them with essential skills for success in a rapidly evolving world.
Your kind donations will help us cover:
- Travel, accommodation, insurance and ESTA
- Competition Registration Fee
- Branded clothing for the team to promote Wardley Primary School and our sponsors globally
- The cost of two supply teachers
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the children, and any support would be greatly appreciated!
