After FIVE YEARS of doing freelance photojournalism, I have finally hit a point where I need support.
After years of being attacked by police, pepper sprayed (happened to me on July 18th, 2015 [see photo below]), and yet still continuing my work through blood sweat and tears (and lots of pain) I have I finally have become successful in my photography.

[photo above: taken on July 18th when I was pepper sprayed while covering a rally in Melbourne. That's OC foam covering my camera lens]
I've been published in newspapers (see below) and had my work spread across the world, and this has given me the obligation (which is still enjoyable!) to work harder and put more of my time into covering events.
Thanks to the kind support of such lovely people, I was able to fund part of the required funds for the camera and a new lens which has done well for me over the past year.
HOWEVER - As rallies are incredibly fast paced events, missing even a split second could be the difference between getting the action and missing it, I am hoping to get a Nikon d500, which has the fastest burst mode in relation buffer size (so you can keep shooting) that I can currently find for a decent price.
Not to mention my secondary camera at the moment is a good 5 years old and entry-level and is only good as a last resort backup.
I'm now moving towards doing some documentary work as well which means alot more time and money needs to be spent, on new equipment like an osmo mobile Gimbal which I got to try out recently. It's amazing.
Thanks everyone for your overwhelming support so far! Much love!
