The Ward Melville Class of 2000 Alumni Award
Donation protected
Thank you to everyone who supported this award in our first and second years. In both 2017 and 2018, your generosity allowed us to give two scholarships at Senior Awards Night. This year, we hope to do even better!
Please join us in celebrating Ward Melville students by supporting the 3rd Annual Ward Melville High School Class of 2000 Alumni Award. Our goal is to aid students who exemplify or inspire the same culture of open-mindedness and inclusivity that our class thrived upon - and are students who are committed to this in their futures. As our past winners can attest, the scholarship goes a long way in easing the transition to life after high school.
We're hoping to help those who made Ward Melville a better place for all in their time there. Those who will head out with the ambition to make their future communities a better place for everyone, long after they graduate.
With that in mind, the Class of 2000 Alumni Award encourages consideration of candidates who are:
• In financial need
• Graduating with a big vision and plan for how they will change the world for the better
• Female
• LGBTQ
• An ethnic or racial minority
• Non-U.S. born
• Disabled
• The first in their family to attend college
• Possessing career ambitions that include action in politics, civic engagement, public education, non-profits, social justice or human rights work, journalism, the arts, science and climate change, pro-bono and advocacy law
Please help us make this vision a reality by donating whatever amount you can to The Class of 2000 Alumni Award. (And yes, you can still donate if you were a student of a different class, friend or family member.) This year's award will be presented to a deserving Class of 2019 graduating senior(s) at Ward Melville's Senior Awards Night in June. Thank you very much for your generosity, and go Patriots!
Note: The Founding Members of this award are listed below. These members will make the final determination of the scholarship recipient(s), based on information provided through an essay application process run by the faculty and staff committee in charge of Senior Awards Night at Ward Melville.
