Help Nour Heal from War Trauma and Mental Collapse
Organized by Lailanite – trusted friend and campaign coordinator
Nour is a young woman who survived war, displacement, and trauma most of us cannot imagine. Today, she faces a different kind of battle — a life-threatening mental health crisis.
After years of trying to cope without access to care, Nour has attempted suicide multiple times. Her most recent attempt was only weeks ago.
She now urgently needs inpatient psychiatric admission for 28 days at a specialist hospital in Cairo, Egypt. She also requires detox from medication dependency, ongoing psychiatric treatment, and a safe space to begin healing.
I am her close friend and creative collaborator. Nour cannot manage this campaign herself — emotionally or logistically — so I am organizing it with her full consent and documentation.
This fundraiser is her last resort. Without immediate support, she may not survive.
What the Funds Will Cover:
• 28-day inpatient psychiatric admission (stabilization, therapy, 24/7 monitoring)
• Detox from Clonazepam and psychiatric supervision
• Medication, post-discharge follow-up, and trauma care
• Emergency housing, food, and transportation
Goal: $6,000 USD
Receipts and proof of use will be shared privately with GoFundMe or verified donors.
How the Funds Will Be Delivered:
Because direct withdrawal isn’t available in Egypt, the funds will be received by a friend, a trusted and verified contact in the UK. He will forward the entire amount to Nour’s medical provider or directly to her using secure, documented methods (bank transfer, Western Union, or hospital payment).
All transfers will be tracked and made transparent.
Privacy & Accountability:
• “Nour” is a pseudonym to protect her identity due to social stigma and safety concerns.
• Official documentation — including UNHCR registration, hospital referrals, and psychiatric evaluations — will be provided to GoFundMe or verified donors upon request.
• This is a private humanitarian appeal, not linked to any government, organization, or political group.
❤️ Why This Matters:
Nour is a survivor — of war, silence, and now the quiet devastation of untreated mental illness. Her strength kept her alive, but she can’t do this alone anymore.
We are not a charity. We’re just friends trying to keep someone we love alive.
If you’ve ever believed in second chances, this is one.
Thank you for standing with Nour,
