Dear Friends of Steve Trotter,

We are all so devastated by the loss of such an amazing man, brother, friend, uncle and godfather. Over the past couple days, friends far and wide have shared countless stories and tributes to a life so thoroughly lived…Steve was forever a legend, forever our friend. He had a dynamic personality, a genuine charisma that made him so easy to be around and drew so many close to him. Steve always had a smile on his face and an adventurous spirit. One of Steve’s friends had so appropriately shared that “Heaven got a little brighter because Steve Trotter is there”.

I have spoken with Steve’s siblings, Dan, Cindy and Cheryl and they have been so touched by the outpouring of love and offers of support in this time of great sorrow. Friends of Steve Trotter have decided to start a GoFundMe page to help support the family with funeral arrangements and any unforeseen expenses. Also, in Steve’s honor, any additional funds will be donated to the “Wounded Warrior Project” at woundedwarriorproject.org.

I would also like to add that Michelle (Steve’s niece) has started to collect pictures, stories, memories, and videos for his memory book. She will be creating a slideshow and memory book to share at both services. Please email pictures, stories, memories, and videos to [email redacted]

At this time, the family is tentatively arranging for celebrations of life to occur in two locations, Florida and Barrington, RI. Once final arrangements have been finalized, the Trotter family will communicate dates, times and exact locations via Facebook.
