Eerste film acteren studio in Rotterdam

Hallo, mijn naam is Nabil Bekal.
Ik ben een Spaanse acteur met Marokkaanse roots. Na mijn opleiding aan een film school in Barcelona, heb ik gewerkt in verschillende films in Europa. Daarnaast heb ik ervaring als coach en Social worker.
In september 2020 start ik met mijn acteerstudio ‘Act Out’ in Rotterdam.
Rotterdam is de stad van de toekomst. Maar elke jaar gaan honderden jongeren en jongvolwassenen naar Amsterdam om acteren te studeren voor film, omdat er geen opties zijn om hun dromen te volgen in hun eigen stad.
Dat is één van de redenen dat ‘Act Out’ heeft gekozen om hier de acting studio op te richten. Maar ook, omdat veel van hen zich voelen alsof ze er niet bij horen, hierdoor gaan ze twijfelen aan hun identiteit. Dus wil ik een ruimte bieden waar zij zich kunnen ontwikkelen en hun potentie kunnen ontdekken.
De cursussen en workshops worden gegeven aan jongeren en jongvolwassenen.
De lesmethode die ik gebruik heet (MMA) ‘Modern Method Acting’. Deze methode is bedacht door mijn oud leraar en internationale coach Boyan Ivic. Een jaar lang leer ik mijn studenten binnen het genre-realisme de basis van acteren van een moderne acteur. Deelnemers leren door acteren hun dagelijkse uitdagingen vanuit verschillende perspectieven te benaderen en op te lossen. De lessen worden door mij gegeven, maar ook door geweldige professionals die hun kennis komen delen uit binnen- en buitenland.

De opbrengst van deze campagne gaat rechtstreeks naar de opbouw van de acteerstudio. Denk hierbij aan materiaal en accommodatie. In de onderstaande tijdlijn vind je wat we hebben gedaan en willen doen. De lessen beginnen in september.

Hello, my name is Nabil Bekal.
I am a Spanish actor with Moroccan roots. After my education at a film school in Barcelona, I have worked in various films in Europe. I also have experience as a coach and social worker.
In September 2020 I will start my acting studio 'Act Out' in Rotterdam.
Rotterdam is the city of the future, but every year hundreds of young people and young adults go to Amsterdam to study acting for film, because there are no options to follow their dreams in their own city.
That is one of the reasons that 'Act Out' has chosen to set up the studio here. But also, because many of them feel as if they don't belong, this causes them to doubt their identity. So I want to offer a space where they can develop and discover their potential.
The courses and workshops are given to young people and young adults.
The teaching method I use is called 'modern method acting'. This method was devised by my former teacher and international coach Boyan Ivic. For a year I teach my students within genre realism the basic notions of acting for a modern actor. Participants learn by acting to approach and solve their daily challenges from different perspectives. The lessons are given by me, but also by great professionals who come to share their knowledge from home and abroad.

The proceeds from this campaign go directly to the structure of the acting studio. This includes material and accommodation. In the timeline below you will find what we have done and want to do. The lessons start in September.
