The world senselessly lost a beautiful and vivacious friend and family member.

Vanessa Neimeyer was known as a kind spirit within the Harry Potter community who had a passion and love for her friends, fashion, the Potter community, and of course, Tom Felton.

Personally, it's not often that I meet someone who lived life with such gusto and radiated so much positive energy. If you had the great fortune of being around her, you were guaranteed to be filled with light and lumos from her constant joke cracking and uplifting demeanor.

I met Vanessa through the Celebration of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando, where she walked up and caught me trying to hide a painted rock for someone to find and immediately teased me about catching me in the act. We talked for several minutes, making me feel throughout the course of the conversation that I knew her for ages. We’ve been friends since, most recently spending time together at Universal Orlando a few weeks ago for the opening of the new Hagrid themed roller coaster. Here, she touched many more lives with her radiant and beaming energy.

A few of us in the wizarding community wanted to set up this GoFundMe to help relieve the financial burden of the Neimeyer family as they say goodbye to a cherished family member and work to rebuild their home, which was has been damaged to the extent that it had to be vacated.
