Help Me Get To Grad School
Donation protected
Hey, y'all! My name is Eric (they/them), and I'm an organizer, community leader, and aspiring change-maker from Lincoln, Nebraska. I received my undergraduate degree in theatre (lol) from Doane University in 2016. Since then, I have worked in various professions, including domestic violence victim advocate, cosmetic counter manager, Peace Corps volunteer, LGBTQ+ community organizer, and food banker. In July, I'm moving to St. Louis to attend the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University. I'll be pursuing the Social & Economic Development specialization focusing on policy, hoping to work on anti-poverty policy, government/ legislative affairs, or political advocacy. As I'm sure you're aware, grad school isn't cheap. Luckily I've received a fellowship that will completely cover my tuition. I still have to cover the cost of moving, first/last month's rent, living costs, books, required new technology, and other start-of-school fees. Of course, I'll be getting some loans, but I'd like to defray applying for so many right away. I know we are all struggling right now, and few of us have much left at the end of the month; if you have anything you can share with me, I will be eternally grateful. Everyone who donates will receive a handwritten thank-you card and my everlasting adoration. I appreciate any help you can provide!
