This Go Fund me page is for Walt and Sarah Tallant.  Walt is currently battling AML Leukemia.  In addition to that he has been challenged with a FLT3 gene mutation and the presence of the Philadelphia chromosome, a combination that less than 50 leukemia patients worldwide have ever been documented with.  Leave it to Walt to have one of the rarest combinations of gene mutations and chromosome presence in AML patients!  We always knew he was special.

Walt and Sarah are proud individuals and don’t really like the idea of accepting assistance.  This has taken some convincing from those of us who love them and want a way to help.  Sarah made the comment that anything they had over and above what is needed they are going to gift it some others that are going through a similar situation.  Walt and Sarah are the type of individuals that want to be on the giving end of the assistance.

As most of you know, Walt is a recently retired police officer who has dedicated his entire adult life serving his community. He has willingly put his life on the line during his career, but never imagined his life would be threatened by cancer. If you know Sarah well, you know that Walt and their boys are her whole world.  When she’s not caring for her family, she is most happy in her career when she is helping others.  They probably are the most deserving young couples out there.
