Together for Walter: Stem Cell Therapy Fund

Walter Reeves grew up a football player in the small Alabama town of Eufaula. He was good at it. An All-State tight end, his skills took him to Auburn University then a 9- year career in the National Football League, mostly with the Cardinals.

He cherished his time at Auburn as a 3 year starter for Pat Dye, received the honor of an All- SEC player his junior and senior seasons. He now resides a proud resident in Auburn, Alabama.

The years of football took a toll on Walter's body. Today he can't get around without constant pain and because of this constant pain, he sleeps in a recliner. Since 2022 his pain has become significantly worse. He is seeking stem-cell treatment in an attempt to regain a more normal lifestyle. Walter has already had 8 surgeries and would like to avoid the extensive rehabilitation time associated with each surgery so he has opted for the stem-cell treatment route. While he has health insurance coverage throughout the NFL player's association there are travel and other costs associated with this treatment that are not covered. These treatments will take place at Stemedix in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The proceeds from this Go Fund Me effort will help Walter offset these costs as he fights to relieve the pain and feel better.
