Walter's Last Chance

Welcome! To "Walter's Last Chance" gofundme page. My name is Frances J. Martinez, and this campaign is to support my 5 minute senior thesis film "Last Chance." It is a story about Walter Johnson, a smalltown boy going after his dream. The funds we hope to raise will go to the production of the film, (equipment, location, props, costumes etc.) , but more importantly, providing great meals for our well deserved cast and crew, who are volunteering their time to help make my senior thesis a success. We are scheduled to film for three days, March 9th-11th. My hope is to take this short concept film, and pitch it to a brand like Hallmark, in hopes of expanding this story to feature length, in the near future. I am very passionate about this project and have been developing this concept for a few years. It is a chance to show myself, fellow peers, and future co-workers/investors that I am worth taking a chance on.  This film represents many things to me. It is the biggest project I've tackled so far in my career and it is also the most ambitious. The success of this project means a chance for a female, Puerto Rican director to get her foot in the door of the film industry. Therefore, your support means more than you could possibly imagine, and there are truely not enough ways to show my gratitude to everyone who supports this campaign . Not only will you help get the ball rolling to make this film the best it can be, but your help will also be used to teach the minds of tomorrow, and your future entertainers, what it is like to work on a well organized and  professional set, so that you may enjoy what you see/experience in the future.

¡Bienvenido! A la página de gofundme "Walter's Last Chance". Mi nombre es Frances J. Martinez, y esta campaña es para apoyar mi película de tesis de 5 minutos "Last Chance". Es una historia sobre Walter Johnson, un chico de pueblo que persigue su sueño. Los fondos que esperamos recaudar se destinarán a la producción de la película (Equipo, ubicaciones, utilería, vestuario, etc.), pero lo más importante, brindarán excelentes comidas para nuestro merecido elenco y equipo, que están ofreciendo voluntariamente su tiempo para ayudar a hacer mi tesis un éxito. Estamos programados para filmar durante tres días, del 9 al 11 de marzo. Mi esperanza es tomar esta película de concepto breve, y presentarla a una marca como Hallmark, con la esperanza de ampliar esta historia a un largometraje, en el futuro cercano. Me apasiona mucho este proyecto y he estado desarrollandolo durante varios años. Esto es una oportunidad para mostrarme a mí, a mis compañeros y futuros compañeros de trabajo / inversores que vale la pena tomar un rriesgo en mi. Esta película representa muchas cosas para mí. Es el proyecto más grande que he atentado hasta ahora en mi carrera y también es el más ambicioso. El éxito de este proyecto significa una oportunidad para que una mujer, directora puertorriqueña, ponga su pie en la puerta de la industria cinematográfica. Por lo tanto, su apoyo significa más de lo que usted podría imaginar, y realmente no hay maneras suficientes de mostrar mi gratitud a todos los que apoyan esta campaña. No solo ayudará a que esta película sea lo mejor posible, sino que su ayuda también se utilizará para enseñar a las mentes del mañana y a sus futuros cineastas qué es trabajar en un equipo profesional y bien organizado para que pueda disfrutar de lo que ve / experimenta en el futuro.
