No one thinks of losing their home, vehicle, and all of their possessions to a house fire. No one thinks the ONLY home they've lived in from infancy to the present would be no more.

Hi, I'm Nichole and this is what my Uncle, Walter, is facing. To give a quick recount, on Feb. 20th, things were going along as usual. He ran some errands. Upon his return, he noticed smoke but didn't realize it was coming from his home. Going inside, he realized his kitchen was on fire and the smoke was becoming increasingly thick. He quickly threw his 2 caged pets out the window. He attempted to retrieve some other things, but the fire was spreading too quickly and the smoke was unbearable. As for the vehicle, the home was situated at the bottom of a hill and he typically parked his car near it. Unfortunately, some of the flames got ahold of it and that too burned.

Can you imagine standing at the top of a hill watching everything you've worked for and had go up in flames?

Unfortunately, there was no home insurance and only liability on his vehicle. Red Cross did assist but it's minimal.

I'm asking for everyone's support in helping my Uncle rebuild his life. It's truly going to take acts of kindness from those near and far. To know my Uncle is to love him. He directly or indirectly would help anyone. He's a small-town guy who is pretty self-sufficient but now needs our help.
