It is with great sadness and a heavy heart to be writing this today. Our dear friend and colleague Walter Wittie (45) has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma which is stage 4 brain cancer. After his first meeting with doctors at MD Anderson he was given a 6-8 week timeline on his life. For the many that know Walter's character, this news only motivated him to fight this disease with everything he has for not only himself but his wife Natalie (38) and 3 daughters Mackenzie (17), Helen (9) and Raven (7). Mr. Walter and his family are currently in Houston receiving treatment. Even with the latest prognosis received this week, his motivation to keep fighting goes un-wavered.

Many can attest to Walter's commitment to the people and many contributions to the oil and gas industry throughout the years. Some words that come to mind: Honesty, Integrity, Friendship and Devotion.

I am reaching out to all colleagues, friends, and the industry family to assist our brother and his family in their time of need. Any donation would go to assisting Walter's family with immediate needs in relieving current financial burdens. Let's come together and help fight the fight.
