On Wed. 08/06/2025, my very first friend and awesome big brother, “Eddie,” and his sweet wife Melissa lost their home and all of their possessions in a heartbreaking fire. This tragedy has left them facing the greatest financial need of their lives, and we’re reaching out to our community and beyond for support to help them rebuild.

Eddie has always been a pillar of strength, and they have both worked tirelessly to provide for themselves and their loved ones. More than that, my brother has been the kind of person who gives to help others selflessly—always ready to lend a hand, support a neighbor, or uplift those around him without ever expecting anything in return. His love, thoughtfulness, generosity, and hard work have touched countless lives, and now it’s our turn to rally around him and Melissa.

The fire has taken everything—their home, belongings, and the stability they have worked so hard to build. We’re raising funds to help them cover immediate needs like temporary housing, clothing, and essentials, as well as to support their journey to rebuild the life they had forged together. They did have insurance, but it will certainly not cover the cost (only about 25% to 30%) for them to rebuild, given the tremendous increase in costs of everything compared to when it was purchased years ago.

They have literally lost everything, from everyday items we take for granted to major items every home needs.

Every single donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping them get back on their feet.

As Eddie’s baby sister and having him always stand by me through every hurdle life may have thrown my way, it’s my turn to step up and do anything I can to stand for him in his time of need.
