Walter Delise's Medical Care

My dear friend and co worker Jennifer Delise’s father Walters Delise went missing last Friday. Walter resides in California by himself and was found on Saturday by Arizona State Police. He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday. Walter had a severe UTI. Through additional tests they also found out he had a stroke, and has COPD and dementia. Walter has no insurance and no current income. Jennifer is also working with immigration officials to get his paperwork aligned so he can start receiving benefits. Jennifer and her brother are now trying to bring him back to California. He will  hopefully be at skilled nursing for the next 20 days and then they need to figure out next steps. They would appreciate any support as they are now supporting their Dad with medical bills, legal bills and 24 hour care. To share more about Walter he was born in Sydney Australia, to an American Father and Australian Mother and was brought here when he was 5. He served in the military, voted, was a juror, paid taxes, filed taxes, worked for 56 years, believed his whole life he was a citizen and was treated as such. Walter lived off his modest savings and ran out of money. He retired a year and a half ago at age 71, went to apply for his SS benefits and was told he was an undocumented immigrant.   Thank you again for your support to Jennifer and her family!
