Walter had a life long love of music.  Listening to his favorite big band hits, strumming on his guitar or playing Take 5 on his clarinet, he loved and appreciated what joy music brings to our lives.  The Walter Ching, '58 Memorial Fund for the Kohala High School Music Department will provide the music program at his alma mater funds for instruments and other supplies so that future generations of children from his hometown of Hawi, Hawaii will have the opportunity to play their own music.
