Family and Friends,
It is with a heavy broken heart that I share with you the passing of Walter "Butch" Bernhart Schroeder, III. Butch passed away on November 30th, 2023 of natural causes with his wife Tonja and daughter Tabbathia by his side.
Losing a dad so unexpectedly is something unimaginable, and a wound that will never be healed. Our family will never be the same without him, and neither will anyone who had the pleasure of getting to know him. Butch was an incredibly devoted father and grandfather - caring, funny, loving and hard working. He worked so hard to support his family that he loved so much. He loved hunting and hiking with his family and friends, sharing meals and cooking secrets, having good beer, and good whiskey with his loved ones was a perfect night.
His passing leaves behind the family that he worked so very hard to support - his wife, his 5 daughters, and 5 grandchildren. For those of us married in to this amazing family he treated us as one of his own, always there willing to listen and help with whatever we needed. Our family has lost a father who was not only a dad, but also an amazing friend that we shared so many amazing fun memories with.
With Butch's passing, an already devasted family due to the loss of his grandson Hayden earlier this year, is really struggling. We ask if you are able to donate towards laying him to rest, please do so and keep the family in your prayers.
Donations will go to the costs of the funeral and memorial service, any funds raised in addition will be dispersed to his wife Tonja and youngest daughter Tanishia for whom he was the sole provider. Service Information:
There will be private viewing on the December 13th from 12pm to 7pm, at Mt Scott Funeral Home.
The Service will be on Demeber 14th at Mt. Scott Funeral Home at 11am, with additional viewing time starting st 9am.
Procession to Crescent Grove Cemetery for graveside Burial afterwards.
Celebration of Life to follow at Shifters Bar from 4-8pm
