Walter Barba Medical Emergency Fund

Hi. My name is Mike Nothum, and I am on the HOA Board at La Playa. Anyone who calls La Playa home knows Walter Barba as one of the most friendly and helpful individuals you could ever meet. He works tirelessly and is the first one to step up to assist others who are in need.

Last Thursday, Walter was not feeling well and developed severe stomach pains and decided to check into the hospital. As it turns out, he had appendicitis and required immediate surgery. Unfortunately, he had complications after the surgery that resulted in a heart attack. As a result, Walter was tranfered to the ICU and placed on a respirator.

Over the last few days, Walter has been on and off the respirator to assist his breathing efforts and is still at this point in the critical care unit.

Although Walter has medical insurance, he and has family have many immediate financial needs and could use our support at this critical time. We would like to make sure that the Barba family are able to pay their rent and cover all their basic financial responsibilities while he is recovering.

The board and the staff of La Playa would greatly appreciate your financial help in taking care of one of our dearest La Playa family members.
