Support Walt Dunn & Family ❤️‍ Medical Emergency

Hi everyone, My name is Liv Henderson and I’m a family friend of Walt and Dana Dunn.

Recently and very unexpectedly this past week, Walt had a life threatening medical issue where he ended up in the ER by ambulance. He was having intense pain in his chest and side and unable to breathe correctly. Upon arrival, he was admitted at Tift Regional Medical Center, and has since been transferred to Phoebe Hospital in Albany, where they identified the issue. Walt underwent a major surgery to remove an infection in his lungs. He had a 14 inch incision around the side of his torso during surgery, along with a rib removed and multiple drain tubes placed after surgery to continue to help with removal of the extreme infection. The family has been told that Walt will remain in the hospital for at least another week or so, and then will need to be home for several more weeks thereafter, to recover.

As most of you know, Walt works very hard- by day he travels with work and is also a full time musician, where he plays guitar and performs with his band. This surgery and illness will disable him from performing either job indefinitely, until recovery is complete. They were also told that this is a very painful recovery process. He will need round the clock assistance for this recovery. Which means upwards of possibly at least a month out of work for him. As well as missed work for his wife Dana, (who is a school teacher), who will be caring for him.

If you know Walt, you know that he is the very last guy who would want this kind of assistance or attention, nor would he ask for it…Walt is the guy who is always helping others and would give you the shirt off of his back.

Walt and Dana also have a family of beautiful children to care for. Many friends have reached out to ask how to help this precious family and show them love. We are hopeful that this Go Fund Me will help to relieve some of the financial stress on them, so they can 100% focus on Walt’s recovery.
