Walpole Bay Hotel Veranda Restoration Fund

Hi my name is Jane Bishop and we took on the task of renovating this wonderful Heritage full building in 1995 knowing it would be a life time project for Peter and I but not realising that it would also become the mission in life of our now four generations and after 30 years the renovations are still not completed. I have accomplished many quirky stunts to try and raise the funds needed as our Hospitality business does not generate the profits required and our Museum of Serendipity and Gallery are free to all to come and visit. We are appealing to all our well wishers for their support in our latest venture to renovate the iron work of our stunning 1930s veranda before the salt air finally takes its toll. If you have not yet visited The Walpole our location is ideal at the top of the Cliffs at Walpole Bay with our Veranda facing West and it is such a beautiful area to sit for a Cream Tea or watch a stunning Turner sunset into the sea over Margate. We need to raise £120,000.00 for this renovation and thought we were well on our way when we auctioned off our treasured Tracey Emin Donations to our Restoration Fund but sadly we have a long way further to go.
