Wally’s Tripod Fund
Donation protected
Even before I met my roommate, Wilma, I met her dog, Wally. His kind and gentle presence made my transition to DC, as the pandemic hit and I was isolated in a new city where I knew relatively few people, undeniably easier. Unfortunately, about three months into our tenure as roommates, we discovered that he had a tumor on his leg. After consulting with his wonderful and super responsive vets and oncologist, it was decided that the best plan of action was to amputate the leg and commence a round of chemotherapy. As you can imagine, this is an expensive procedure and treatment.
This is a very strange time, and for many, one that has created a lot of financial distress. Wilma is one of the kindest people I know and I want to alleviate the financial stress of this life-altering procedure that her dog has had to undergo. If you can donate anything, even $1, it would be greatly appreciated. Both Wilma and Wally have become very important to me and I can’t wait to spend many more months (possibly in isolation!) watching Wally recover and get his (literal) footing as the cutest tripod ever!
