On behalf of Walter Finnerty, his family and loved ones, we are seeking to raise money to help Walter go home to his beloved Sligo one last time.

As most of his friends have heard, in October 2022 Walter was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer that has metastasized to his liver. The outlook is not good. He is undergoing chemotherapy but has been given a 1 - 2 year life expectancy. We are focusing on the quality of life over longevity.

Anyone who has ever met Walter will know that he LOVES Ireland. It is his wish to be able to travel to Ireland one last time to be with his family. Due to Walters's medical needs, traveling will be expensive.

Walter has so, so many friends across the globe. Those of us who have had the extraordinary privilege to know him would like to help, and so we have created this fundraiser to help show our love and support and pay for this journey home. Anything raised beyond the actual need will go to cover his medical costs.
