Help Support Wallsend Boys’ Club Under 13s Green – Ypres, Belgium 2026

In May 2026, the Wallsend Boys’ Club Under 13s Green team will be representing Tyneside in The Knott Brothers Christmas Truce Tournament in Ypres, Belgium — a truly special event that brings together football, friendship, and remembrance.

This is so much more than a football trip. The boys will visit the WW1 battlefields, the Menin Gate, and the Commonwealth War Graves, learning about the sacrifices made by soldiers — including many footballers — during the First World War. They’ll take part in remembrance ceremonies, team presentations, and even research and share the stories of footballers who fought in the war.

Why It Matters

Wallsend Boys’ Club has been “delivering more than football” since 1904 — helping young people across North Tyneside build character, teamwork, and respect through sport. This trip gives our players a chance to grow both on and off the pitch, gaining a deeper understanding of history while representing their club and community with pride.

Our Goal

Each player needs to raise £300 each, total £4,500 to help cover travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, and educational activities during the trip. With your help, we can make sure every single player has the chance to experience this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity — regardless of financial circumstances.

Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards helping the boys reach Ypres in 2026. Your support will give them the chance to play football abroad, visit places of great historical importance, and create lifelong memories with their teammates.
