Dear all, 

 My name is Maryam, and I am reaching out to you for help in funding my cat Wall-e's partial leg amputation. Wall-e is a courageous little cat who was born missing part of his back leg from the knee down. When I found him, he was sitting alone outside, and I knew that something was different about him. His mother and siblings had left him, and he would try to hide under anything he could. 

I adopted him because I knew he couldn't be an outdoor cat without being able to jump well. Although he gets around well, he does need my help to climb to his food bowl since he can't jump up onto the counter. However, he is still able to climb the couch and anything he can use as a ladder to reach an overall height. 

 Unfortunately, a couple of days ago, Wall-e jumped off the couch onto the carpet, and his stump hit the floor just "right," causing him to cut the skin open. He was bleeding and in pain, so I took him to the vet. The vet informed me that this will continue to happen and be an issue, and that amputation of the remaining portion of his leg is the best solution. 

Wall-e is a one-year and three-month-old cat who is full of life and enjoys running around the best he can, chasing anything and everything. However, his current condition is limiting his mobility and causing him pain. Therefore, I am hoping to raise enough funds to cover the cost of his surgery and ensure that he can live a happy and pain-free life. 

I am in a difficult financial situation as I have been a full-time caregiver to my husband who has an acquired brain injury for the past 3.5 years. As such, income is limited, and qualifying for credit isn't an option currently. The shock of needing an amputation and the cost that comes with it was something I was not prepared for. I am just hopeful that my sweet boy can get back to running and jumping around carefree without worrying about further injuries. Any amount of donation will be greatly appreciated and will go directly towards Wall-e's surgery.
