Wallace's Journey

Hi my name is Amanda and I'd like to tell you a little about Wallace.
Wallace was rescued by Kabul Small Animal Rescue in Afghanistan in 2022.
He was named Wallace as in William Wallace as he displayed a Braveheart in fighting back from the horrendous wounds that became apparent once he was cleaned up.
I've been trying to adopt and get Wallace to his permanent home since shortly after he was rescued, there's been a lot of obstacles thus far. Just as Wallace qualified to travel on the old rules the UK shifted the goalposts and he wasn't allowed to travel directly from Afghanistan. After failed attempts to set up a foster in Europe, another in the U.S, a failed titre test meaning he missed a flight to the U.S and the airline flying from Kabul putting restrictions of one dog per flight after the funds had been raised.
Due to the restrictions and massive overcrowding at their shelter KSAR raised the funds, chartered a plane and airlifted 200 dogs and 100 cats to the U.S, Wallace was on the Operation All Paws Flight last year and has been fostered until recently by New Life Asher House in Oregon.
We received confirmation that Wallace had passed his titre test and would be on the flight 2 days before my mum sadly passed away. Myself and my family firmly believe that the rainbow the plane landed under for refuel in Poland was her showing she was watching over him and his 299 travel buddies.
He has recently been moved to the East Coast and in order for Blue Ridge Canine Safehouse to take him KSAR have relinquished ownership to them. This now means that I was given what I thought wss a very small window of 2-3 months, however 2 days later I was advised the funds had to be raised 'by the end of the month' 2 weeks is a mammoth task to raise the necessary funds for the flight, medical checks, customs fees etc but I think we can meet the challenge
Wallace would greatly appreciate your help in making this happen!
I'd love to be able to finally get my boy to his forever home and to keep my promise to my mum that she could be the first person to take him for a walk in the nearby woods, unfortunately it won't happen in the way we intended but we're planning to take her ashes along on a family walk with Wallace.
Any support you could give would be greatly appreciated by us both.
Thank you
