Hi, my name is Angela & I have organised this page to assist with raising funds in light of losing our late father, Wallace John Barwick better known in community as Wally. On the 12 of August 2025 we had to face the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye to our dear father, grandfather great grandfather, uncle cousin & beloved friend of many, Wallace John Barwick. A long battle with complex health issues had seen my father unexpectedly hospitalised on 07/08/25 & after a admirable battle he spread his wings & departed on the 12/08/25 surrounded by family, friends & loved ones. My father loved his family & anyone who knew him, knew we were his driving force. My father was a well known personal within the community of Narrabri as well as the aboriginal/cultural space within Narrabri, as well as a number of other locations. Throughout the duration of my father’s life he made massive contributions to community that he was so proud of & still referred to leading up to his departure. These efforts seen my father work within education as an aboriginal art tutor/liaison as well as being one of the founding chairmen of the local aboriginal housing corporation. He was further more acknowledged for his breath taking talents involved with cultural art & still has pieces advertised within community to this day. Although he made many physical accomplishments anyone who knows my father knew it was his family that was he’s most adored creation. He was a father, a grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend, foster parent & father figure to many. A gentle soul who loved guiding & creating a home within his heart for people regardless of who they were & for anyone who came into contact with him would understand completely the love I am referring to. He would’ve given the very clothes of his back for any one person who needed help & we had the honourable privilege to experience that love at its strongest. He was a reflection of the kindness in he’s heart & his legacy will live on through everyone who met him. This hospitalisation came unexpectedly & seen our families having to travel to Dubbo NSW in support of my father as this was the location he was hospitalised, due to this fact & us being unprepared we we put a lot of resources toward being there to support our dear father. We are seeking any family & friends that would like to contribute & if able, to donate which will assist in the organisation of dads funeral. Any amount will be appreciated & we would like to take the time to thank everyone for the support during this unimaginable time.

Regards, Angela.
