Walking the Pacific Crest Trail, 2,600 miles

We are attempting to walk the whole of the Pacific Crest Trail, a 2,600 mile U.S. National Trail from Mexico to Canada. We will face rattle snakes, raging river crossings, wild fires, mountain lion and brown bears on our way through California, Oregon and Washington, all the while sleeping in a tent, carrying our own water, and buying food at small towns along the way. It will take us five and a half months, if injury or environmental issues don’t force us off the trail - and so far 2023 has had the most snowfall in living memory, making some of the trail even more treacherous!

We are entirely self-funded, and if you would like to support us by making a donation to the League of Friends, that would be great. We aim to complete this mammoth challenge, but in case we can’t for any reason, your donation would not be refundable and would still go to our chosen charity.

Seaton & District Hospital League of Friends completely funds 'Seaton Hospice at Home'. which provides expert nursing care to adults registered with a Beer, Colyton or Seaton GP who wish to remain at home at the end of life. The service also provides advice and support to carers and families of people with end-of-life care needs.

29.03.23 UPDATE: We would like to thank everyone who has kindly made a donation either via our Facebook page or here on Gofundme - so far we have received £776 which is amazing, all for the Seaton Hospice at Home nursing service - Thank you.
