We are asking for your support and lifting up my sister Rachele, her husband Randy, daughter Channing and their two small children as they face an incredibly difficult and unexpected journey. This past week, Rachele’s pregnancy was suddenly complicated by severe preeclampsia and the life-threatening HELLP syndrome, forcing her into an emergency C-section. Their precious daughter, Sutton, was born at just 24 weeks, weighing only 1 pound.

Their tiny miracle, Sutton, is currently receiving the highest level of care in the NICU. As she fights for her life, we are reminded of her strength and resilience, which is a testament to God's hand at work. Doctors have prepared us for a NICU stay of at least four months. Through it all, we are trusting in God's healing power.

This medical emergency has created a high financial burden on Rachele and Randy. While Rachele's recovery from her emergency surgery is complicated by the effects of HELLP syndrome, Randy is doing his best to balance work, caring for their 1-year-old, Scout, and spending every possible moment at the hospital. The daily commute between Sentara Norfolk and CHKD Children's Hospital, the mounting medical bills for both Rachele’s and Sutton’s extensive care, and the loss of Rachele's income have put an immense strain on the family's finances.
