On August 29, 2026, I'll begin walking nearly 400 kilometres from Toronto to Ottawa with one goal: to invest in the future of young people in Lawrence Heights.

Growing up in this community, I saw incredible talent, resilience, and potential. But I also saw too many young people who simply didn't have access to the opportunities, mentorship, and life skills that could help them reach their full potential.

I believe every young person deserves more than just hope they deserve opportunity.

That's why I'm walking.

Our Vision

The funds raised through this campaign will help launch programs and initiatives that provide youth with practical skills, meaningful experiences, and opportunities to succeed.

Our first major initiative will be a 16 week pilot program called "What My Parents Didn't Teach Me."

This program will connect youth with professionals, mentors, and community leaders to learn life changing skills such as:

1) Swimming and water safety

2) Self-defence and personal safety

3) Auto mechanics and basic vehicle maintenance

4) Budgeting, saving, and investing

5) Nutrition and healthy living

6) Entrepreneurship and creative arts
Leadership, communication, and other essential life skills

But this is only the beginning.

As the initiative grows, our goal is to create even more opportunities for youth and families, including:

7) Scholarships and educational support

8) Summer jobs and paid employment
opportunities for youth

9) Youth trips, retreats, and leadership experiences

10) Breakfast and food support programs

11) Recreation, fitness, and wellness initiatives

12) Mentorship and community-building events

Additional programs based on the needs identified by the community
Why the Walk?

Walking 400 kilometres is symbolic.

Real change doesn't happen overnight. It happens one step at a time.

Every kilometre represents a commitment to creating opportunities that can change the direction of a young person's life.

How You Can Help

Whether you donate $10 or $1,000, you're investing in something much bigger than a walk.

You're helping create programs that can equip young people with skills, confidence, experiences, and opportunities that last a lifetime.

If you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign is another powerful way to support the mission.

Together, let's take one step closer to a stronger future for Lawrence Heights.
