Walking to the CTC for Tkachuk's Captains

My name is Adam, and I've been a Senators fan my whole life. Like many Sens fans, I enjoy watching the team play at the CTC, but can't help but complain about how far away the rink is from the downtown core. The commute to a game is never fun, and the ordeal of getting out of the parking lot is exhausting. The bus isn't much better, often far too crowded and rarely on time, plus without the convenience of getting you right back to your door. If only there was another way to get there...

Naturally, my friends Ethan, Liam, Alex, and I had the idea to walk to a game. Why? I don't know. For fun, I guess? I don't think we're trying to prove anything other than the fact that it can actually be done. To our knowledge, no one has tried this.

We're all located in the Glebe/Old Ottawa South area, so Lansdowne feels like a sensible starting point. This will be around a 25km walk. The expected duration, according to Google Maps, is approximately six hours. We'll be walking to the Senators vs Devils game on April 6th, which also happens to be Fan Appreciation Night at the Canadian Tire Centre.

For complete transparency, the funds will be first withdrawn into my own personal bank account and then immediately donated to Tkachuk's Captains.

I've never tried anything like this, so I have no idea how this will do. I'm hoping to hit my goal of $1000 in donations, but any amount that we reach will be a huge victory.
