Walking for the Way

Called by God to share the good news of his son, Jesus Christ, 34-year-old father of 4, Acie Burleson set out on March 11 from his hometown of Andrews, S.C. carrying a 45 pound wooden cross on his back and walking west. Averaging 12 to 15 miles a day, Acie travels alongs roads and highways telling those he comes in contact with to pray and ready for the coming of Christ. Although he packed a small tent, he has not had to use it because of local generosity. Acie’s goal is to finish his walking journey at the Grand Canyon, glorifying God and leading others to Christ along the way.

We are seeking to raise $1 for each mile Acie intends on traveling carrying the cross. All funds will go directly to Acie and his family to support the costs of the trip and living expenses while Acie is away.
