Walking for Rosie ❤️
In April 2020 my beautiful mum, and best friend, was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. It sneaked up on her very quietly - as this type of cancer usually does.
Despite being given the best care and treatment we could have hoped for, and her being the most dignified and inspirational fighter, she so sadly left us on June 28th 2021.
My mum loved walking, with one of her favourite memories being on the West Highland Way.
So this May 13th, myself and 15 others from my gym have signed up to walk it!
I want to complete this
in her memory, and raise as much money and awareness around this cancer as I can.
7 days of no luxuries…..I think I’ll sponsor myself!!
Any penny you can spare would be so, so gratefully appreciated.
Diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer trails behind many high profile cancers. And is unfortunately usually very advanced when discovered. It’s a silent killer, and needs so much more awareness raised.
Please help me walk for ‘our Rosie’ and all the women diagnosed with this horrible disease.
Thank you ❤️
