Peace and Justice for Palestine
Humanity’s survival depends on finding alternatives to war and militarism.
Resources that are currently poured into death and destruction, including Israel’s genocide in Gaza, must be redirected toward saving our planet from catastrophic climate change and providing healthcare, housing, jobs, and education for all.
Veterans For Peace has initiated a 600-mile walk for Peace, Planet, Justice and Democracy. The walk begins in Maine May 7 and will end in Washington, DC, at the White House July 6.
We are walking for an end to war, especially the looming threat of nuclear war.
We are walking in solidarity with the people of Gaza, who are determined to survive a brutal genocide, and for West Bank Palestinians living, resisting and dying for 75 years under Israeli apartheid and occupation.
We are walking because everyone everywhere deserves a decent job, food, shelter, medical care and education.
We are walking to expose and address the power of corporations destroying our environment, driving everyday people and communities into more poverty while they reap enormous profits and power from militarism and war. These corporate entities, given more rights than living, breathing people with none of the accountability or responsibility, have hijacked our democratic ability to establish peace, justice and a livable world.
