Walking for Chels - 24 miles & an ultramarathon!

Donation protected
Me and Georgia sucessfully completed our challenge, walking 24 miles, 6 miles over and above the 18 miles we'd challenged ourselves to walk in honor of my cousin Chelsea, who was taken from us far too soon.

I'm now looking to complete another challenge in honour of Chelsea, just one week after the 24 miles we ended up walking on Saturday 26th July - an ultramarathon (31.1 miles). As well as support for Chelsea, raising mental health awareness is a huge part of the challenge.

Chelsea was the kindest and funniest person you could ever meet, with the biggest heart and the most infectious smile. My cousins have asked for support in raising fund for her funeral and we wanted to support by challenging ourselves so that those that did not know Chels might support us in raising funds to help give Chelsea the beautiful, dignified farewell she deserves.

This walk is more than just a challenge—it's a tribute to the incredible person she was and the joy she brought into our lives. Every mile we walk is for her, and every donation helps ease the burden on the family during this deeply painful time.

On Saturday, we massively beat the clock completing the 24 miles in the time it was supposed to take to complete the 18 miles.

I've included the go fund me message from my Cousins below so you can see what this means to the people affected by Chelsea passing.

"It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister, Chelsea on July 18, 2025. She was a beacon of light in our lives—known for her warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. As we navigate this heartbreaking loss, we want to honor her legacy in a meaningful way.
Tragically, she leaves behind her two beautiful children, Bethany and Jacob, who meant the world to her.

Chelsea didn’t have much to give but would give what she could if she thought she could help someone. I’m hoping people will be as kind to her and she was to everyone she crossed in life.

after losing our mother last April family hasn’t been the same and this has left a even bigger gap than what was already there. It also leaves us having to plan another funeral and I’m hoping we can raise enough together to give her the best send off possible.

we would be sincerely grateful for any amount we can raise and I hate having to ask as would Chelsea but right now anything helps."

If you'd like to support us, please donate, even if it's just a little - every penny is appreciated.
