Walking For Blue Acre Horse Rescue
Dear Friends,
I have been thinking of doing my own fundraiser for a bit, but life and other things got in the way. I previously volunteered for this charity a few times while helping out on the farm, but sadly my health condition is no longer allowing me to do that.
While Blue Acre are having my continued support through personal donations, at this time in life I feel I can do a bit more.
What I am about to do, might not sound particularly strenuous or demanding, but it is a real challenge for me.
I will be doing four walks in July and August 2024 between Old Mill Place in Wraysbury, via Datchet to Blue Acre Horse Rescue farm in Old Windsor, which is about 5 miles. I won’t be just walking, I will be doing litter picking all the way. Some local residents are already doing an amazing job litter picking through the village, but the work never stops...
Blue Acre Horse Rescue is a wonderful local charity that rely heavily on public support. They rescue, treat and look after abandoned and mistreated horses from around here, as well as other farm animals. The number of animals rescued and the complexity of cases is truly astonishing, and to cater for all of them on a very tight budget is near impossible. To keep going they need our donations for food, facilities, vet bill, etc… I really want to help them.
In a nutshell, I am aiming to raise £250 for this charity, help to clean up our beautiful area and complete the challenge I've set for myself. I know lots of you are already supporting Blue Acre Horse Rescue, but I am hoping you can get behind me on this very personal challenge and raise as much as we can.
Thank you all very much!!
Tons of love! ❤️ ❤️❤️
