Walking for Beau

Hello my name is Jacqueline. I’m walking part of the pilgrimage route of the “Camino de Santiago” The way of St. James, in Spain to raise funds for Beau O’Hagan.

 

On March 1, 2021, when he was 1 and a half years old, baby O'Hagan was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA Type 2/3).

 

Bryce, Rachel and their son's doctors are optimistic for a normal life for their child, but the road will be long and difficult.

 

The goal for this fundraiser is to raise some funds to help cover some of the costs the family will need for medical, physio, occupational therapy, medical supplies, hospital parking, and time off of work, the next few months will not only be expensive, but also extremely stressful.

 

I met Beau’s Mum through Yoga Teacher training prior to his birth. I have had a window to his growth, his struggles and his wins via social media. He’s a pure delight. He’s a lovely boy, big brother and super smart. I really want to help out this incredible family as they have a long road ahead of them in helping Beau.

 

i have been wanting to walk the Camino for the past 20 years. I now have the privilege to walk (120kms) the end of May. During  one of my recent yoga classes, the thought came to me to walk for Beau and to help raise some funds for Beau and his family.
